Ringlock system scaffolding is a high-performance, modular access and support system widely used in construction and heavy industry, defined by its unique rosette (circular disc) connection mechanism on vertical standards.
Precautions for installation of ringlock scaffolding
- The foundation shall meet the design requirements, and shall be flat and compact. There shall be no looseness or suspension between the vertical poles and the foundation. The jack base and supports shall comply with relevant regulations.
- The wedge pins connecting the pole-end connectors and the rosettes shall not come loose after being hammer-locked. During erection, a hammer of not less than 0.5 kg shall be used to strike the top of the pin at least twice until it is fully locked. Strike again after locking; the sinking depth of the pin shall not exceed 3 mm.
- The cantilever length of the adjustable jack of the support frame extending beyond the centerline of the top horizontal ledger or double‑channel steel beam shall not exceed 650 mm. The exposed length of the screw shall not exceed 400 mm. The insertion length of the adjustable jack into the vertical pole or double‑channel steel beam shall not be less than 150 mm.
- The insertion length of the screw of the adjustable base into the vertical pole shall not be less than 150 mm. The exposed length of the screw shall not be more than 300 mm. The distance from the centerline of the lowest horizontal ledger (as the bottom ledger) to the base plate of the adjustable base shall not exceed 550 mm.
- Excavation work is strictly prohibited within the scope affected by the excavation depth of the formwork support and scaffold foundation.
- Dismantled support members shall be safely handed down to the ground; throwing is strictly prohibited.

Installation & Operation Manual for Socket-Type Ringlock Scaffolding
The following installation instructions for ringlock scaffolding are for reference only during construction. For actual installation operations, implementation shall be carried out in accordance with actual construction requirements, relevant standards and specifications, as well as professional design documents.
Step 1
Survey and setting out. Determine the positions for the adjustable base jacks on a solid foundation as required, and mark the positions with layout lines.

Step 2
Place the adjustable base jacks accurately according to the marked positions. Adjust the adjusting nuts of the base jacks so that they are approximately on the same horizontal level. The exposed length of the adjusting screw of the adjustable base jack shall not exceed 300 mm.

Step 3
Insert the short end of the starter vertical pole downward onto the adjusting nut of the base jack. The lower edge of the starter short vertical pole must be fully seated in the groove on the load-bearing surface of the adjustable nut. Adjust the nut to make the scaffold frame horizontal.

Step 4
Install the bottom ledger. Insert the ledger head into the small hole of the rosette, so that the front end of the ledger head presses against the main frame tube. Then insert the wedge pin through the hole and hammer it tightly.
After being hammer-locked, the wedge pin connecting the end connector and the rosette shall not come loose. Use a hammer of not less than 0.5 kg to strike the top of the pin at least twice until it is fully locked. Strike again after locking; the sinking depth of the pin shall not exceed 3 mm.
Installation requirements for bottom ledgers:The height above ground of the lowest horizontal ledger used as the bottom ledger shall not exceed 550 mm. Adjust the position of the bottom ledger by adjusting the base jacks until it is horizontal.

Step 5
Insert the long end of the vertical pole into the sleeve of the starter pole. Check through the inspection hole of the connecting sleeve to ensure that the starter short vertical pole is fully inserted to the bottom of the sleeve.

Step 6
Install ledgers and assemble the second layer in sequence. If vertical pole connecting pins are used, make sure that the rosette alignment holes and pin holes are oriented in the same direction.

Step 7
Install diagonal braces. Assemble all diagonal braces either clockwise or counterclockwise as shown in the figure below.Insert the diagonal brace head into the large hole of the rosette, so that the front end of the diagonal brace head presses against the main frame tube. Then insert the wedge pin through the large hole and hammer it tightly.
※ If the first layer is assembled counterclockwise, the diagonal braces above the second layer shall also be assembled counterclockwise.

Step 8
Install the U-head adjustable jack. Insert the screw of the adjustable head jack into the main frame tube and adjust the nut to the required height.
Installation requirements for U-head adjustable jacks:The cantilever length of the adjustable jack extending beyond the top horizontal ledger or double-channel steel supporting beam shall not exceed 650 mm.The exposed length of the screw rod shall not exceed 400 mm.The insertion length of the adjustable head into the vertical pole or double-channel steel supporting beam shall not be less than 150 mm.
