Components of scaffolding base plate

 

 Plate:A flat, typically square or rectangular metal plate (often made of steel) that sits directly on the ground or a stable surface.
Distributes the load from the scaffold tube over a larger area to prevent sinking or instability.

 Spigot or Pin:A vertical protrusion (often cylindrical) welded to the center of the plate.
Fits into the bottom of the scaffold standard to secure it in place and ensure proper alignment.

 Holes (Optional):Some base plates have holes for anchoring to the ground using bolts or stakes, especially on uneven or soft surfaces.

Thickness:Typically ranges from 5mm to 10mm, depending on the load requirements.

 Spigot (Pin) Diameter

The standard diameter is 48.3mm, which matches the outer diameter of most scaffold tubes.
 Holes for Anchoring

Hole diameters are typically 10mm to 12mm.
